Itzhak Perlman

 


 It is very hard to talk about masters. You try to say words adorned with praise but it beggars description. Nevertheless, I will try to write about Itzhak Perlman.

   
     Itzhak Perlman is widely considered the greatest living violinist. He started to play violin when he was four years old. At the same age he was struck with infantile paralysis but he didn't give up playing violin. At this point, he had pretty difficult times. Because children want to run or want to play.On the other hand, being handicapped was a big obstacle for his career. Nevertheless, his talent surprassed all obstacles.He says that people who assert their inabilities as the reason of their failures should take a lesson from his life. Here one of his performance when he was 13.

                                                               


   



     Althought he is known as a violinist he is also a successful conductor. For him, being a conductor is a lot of fun. He thinks when he plays violin as a part of orchestra he has a lot of repetition and plays certain things but when he attends as a conductor he gets freedom to display his manner of music.


     One of the most  notable point about his career is movie musics. I listened him first time when I was watching Scent of a Woman. After I had watched Tango scene the music had been in my mind for weeks. It had a deep effect on me. By the way, Al Pacino dances like a poem :)

     An other movie which its music composed by Itzhak Perlman and John Williams is Schinler's List. I guess most of you know Shindler's List. It is shortly about how Oskar Schindler helped Jewish people during the World War II. When he was asked to make music for the film he accepted with no hesitation. As a Jewish and as a son of an immigrant couple from Poland, this movie means a lot for him. He tells that his parents suffered many things when they were Poland. I always find this music very touchy. What about you?


                                                             SCHINLER'S LIST

   

     There is a funny story about Itzhak Perlman. According to a claiming, When Itzhak Perlman started to give a concert one of his violin's string broken. Then he kept on playing violin with three strings and everyone applaused him effusively after concert...etc Althought we want to believe this lovely story, this is one of the best lie in the world:) Yes, he is a gifted musician but giving a concerto with a broken violin is impossible dear friends.

     Most of us inspired by musicians. I was inspired by Itzhak Perlman because of his musics , lifestyle,honesty...etc. First of all he is a humble musician. He is not someone braggart althought he won many important awards. Moreover, these awards not important for him he says. And he is a pretty hardworking musician. He was practicing 3 hours per day although he hated it. There is a key point about life. We usually start to practice. After a while if it is not enjoyable for us we give up practicing. In an other word, we usually fail)) Take Care...
